The Artemis ILS Asia 2024 conference took place on July 11th, 2024, at the Suntec Convention Centre in Singapore, bringing together attendees from over 90 organizations for a day of educational and inspirational talks, as well as networking opportunities focused on the catastrophe bond and insurance-linked securities (ILS) asset class in the Asia Pacific region.
This year’s event saw the largest contingent of local institutional investors, family offices, asset managers, and other allocators, making up over one-third of the organizations represented, with the theme “Renewing growth opportunities” reflecting the robust performance of the catastrophe bond and ILS asset class over the last year.
The conference was designed to prioritize education, updates on the ILS market, and making connections, bringing together those interested or involved in ILS from the Asia and Pacific regions with executives from the global insurance-linked securities marketplace.
Attendees had the opportunity to learn about the ILS asset class, the catastrophe bond market, collateralized reinsurance structures, reinsurance linked investment strategies, and the future of risk transfer, with a focus on Asia, and hear from senior executives from (re)insurance companies, catastrophe bond and ILS fund managers, risk modellers, law firms, pension investors, hedge fund managers, investment bankers, and other capital market or reinsurance service providers.
