Nairametrics has revealed the shortlisted candidates for the Capital Market Journalist of the Year award at the 2026 Capital Market Awards. The category honors journalists who influence capital market discourse while educating the public through their platforms. Four names emerged from the competitive selection process: Rotus Oddiri of Arise News, Nancy Illoh-Nnaji of AIT, Ladi Williams of Channels TV, and Tolulope Ogunjobi of TVC. Public voting runs from Monday, June 1, to Thursday, June 4, 2026. Ballots can be cast via the Nairametrics Capital Market Awards 2026 portal.

Rotus Oddiri, a business correspondent and host of Arise TV’s Global Business Report, broadcasts across Africa and the U.K. Nancy Illoh-Nnaji co-founded The Money Show, a program produced from the Nigerian Stock Exchange floor. Ladi Williams frequently moderates business conferences, focusing on tech and finance. Ogunjobi, a Chartered Graduate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management, has also contributed to TVC’s coverage of market trends.

The 2026 awards carry the theme “Capital Markets as a Pathway to Responsible Wealth Creation.” Organizers emphasize the event’s role in highlighting value creation, governance, and innovation.
